To Our Valued Associates and Customers,
Winter Gardens continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and is actively establishing mitigation strategies with the goal of keeping our associates safe while they continue to manufacture safe, quality food.
From the start of the pandemic in the United States, Winter Gardens appointed a designated Coronavirus Crisis Management Team, who has been meeting regularly since the beginning of March to review new developments from the CDC/Pennsylvania Department of Health, and determine what new actions can be put in place to keep all of our associates safe and healthy. All information is posted throughout the facility, in both English and Spanish, so all associates have access to it. We continue to provide complimentary lunch to all associates (prepared and served in-house) to show our appreciation for their continued hard work.
We have worked directly with our production associates to encourage social distancing (both on the production floor and in break areas), to enforce more rigorous handwashing and glove-changing protocols, and more recently, to provide all associates masks to be worn while in our facility. Regular re-assessments are conducted throughout the production facility to develop new social distancing methods. We have also, for the time being, limited visitors to only those who are essential, and suspended all interviews for prospective employees. All visitors are required to
follow the current Pennsylvania governance regarding public health and safety; i.e. wearing masks when they enter the facility, denying access if they are showing any symptoms or have been in contact with a symptomatic patient, et cetera.
Since the PA Stay-At-Home order was enacted, our management staff has been diligent in working remotely where possible. We have also limited the number of individuals permitted in meeting spaces at one time and have been actively using virtual meeting software to continue operating as normally as possible. Winter Gardens has also adjusted its production schedule to limit the number of associates moving in and out of the facility.
We will continue to operate and produce the safe, quality food that is expected of Winter Gardens.
Thank you for your continued support – stay safe, healthy, and positive!
